Learning Irish

I’d like to recommend the Random House Irish language course, Spoken World: Irish (disclaimer: I know the author, Caroline Guerin Nic Craith). It is aimed at complete beginners, and is based on the official standard of Irish rather than any one dialect. Some libraries may have it in stock, but it can also be found at book shops and specialist Irish language/language learning outlets.

See some reviews at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

Warning – the course has no connection with sheep.
